David Russell Opticians are proud to announce we are sponsoring a Guide Dog For The Blind.

Every hour someone in the UK goes blind – but losing your sight is more than not being able to see.  It can also mean losing your independence.  It can mean relying on friends and family to get you out of the house, not being able to take your own children to school, or even having to give up your job.

It costs almost £50,000 to train and support a guide dog from birth to retirement.

Isaac is just embarking on his training and could give back someone the independence they have lost through sight loss. If you would like to follow his progress please continue to watch our news page.

Isaac has now finished his training and will be put into a placement asap.  We have enjoyed watching him grow and develop into a fully trained guide dog and will continue to support this fantastic charity!
